Packaging Identity
Art-Focused Design for Album Packaging
Minor Element’s purpose is to “make music for the musician.” The primary goal of the packaging for their first studio EP, ‘Stranger Things Have Happened’, was to resonate with musicians, particularly jazz musicians and listeners. This was achieved by incorporating the textural elements of Ginger Salton’s cover painting into the mostly monochrome package design. Minor Element chose a 6-panel digipak case with a 4-panel insert, featuring the EP track list and photos of the band members. Cover painting by Ginger Salton; photographed by Zachary Sklener.
